Long Beach Convention Centre, CA, USA. 25-27th July 2008 -  'Auntie Sheila' and Rebecca have now got safely home from the land of sunshine....and EARTHQUAKES!!!!!....YES the highlight of our trip was the 5.8 earthquake that hit while we were in Northridge, and we thank God that no-one was hurt, we were with american friends who were well-drilled on what to do in these situations who quickly and calmly chaperoned us into the doorways, while the lights swung and the pool water crashed from side to side....what an experience! The Quilt Show was a real treat, meeting all you CA gals was a BLAST! (lots of your hilarious comments are unprintable - you know who the culprits are!) - OUr booth was right next to the Quilting Arts University section so we were lucky enough to watch all the crazy goings-ons in the classes and listen to the FUNKY MUSIC a la the Runway Challenge - (thanks to Pokey for not destroying Billy Joels Stranger DISC!!!). ANYHOW enough waffling already - we left with so many happy memories, conversations, photos, but sadly, no suntan!!!). Apologies to all who wanted paint after we had SOLD OUT, we hope to see you all back next year! THANKS CA, and THANKS to Quilts Inc.
